Getting There

Relocating yourself and family to Denmark is fairly straightforward; flights to Copenhagen have reasonably standardised prices at around £66, and take approximately 2 hours.

Pets must accompany their owner on the same flight otherwise they will be considered as commercial transport. Companies who specialise in pet air travel services are not considered as accompanied transport. Pets must be microchipped or have a tattoo. Under the PETS scheme, animals are exempt from quarantine.

What is the PETS scheme?

The PETS scheme (Pet Travel Scheme) is an agreement which was made by several EU countries to allow the movement of pets between these countries free of quarantine regulations. Since its introduction, other non-EU countries which are free from the rabies virus have subscribed to the PETS scheme.
